Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras are cameras which are capable of being controlled remotely to pan (rotate) or tilt, or zoom in or out. This can be particularly useful in telehealth applications, if the patient is unable to adjust the camera themselves, or if the clinician wants to examine the patient directly without making the patient stop and adjust the camera for them each time they need a different view.

See below the system requirements for our two videoconferencing engines: Zoom and VSee.

If you’re not sure which platform your account (or your host’s account) uses, check the installation button in the lower left hand corner of your Dashboard (if you have an account with SecureVideo) or your Waiting Room page (if you have been invited to a session through SecureVideo).

If using Zoom, the following camera models or manufacturers are confirmed supported:

1. Logitech PTZ Pro camera

2. VDO360 HD PTZ USB cameras

3. Vaddio RoboSHOT 12 HD PTZ camera

*For details on how to request PTZ camera control in a session, please see the support article, Zoom: Video Settings on Mac or Windows Computer

If using VSee, the following Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras are confirmed supported:

1. Logitech PTZ Pro camera

2. Minrray Camera (UV820-USB 3.0) (purchase direct from VSee to avoid aspect ratio issues)

3. PTZOptics 20X-USB

4. HuddleCamHD 12X (discontinued)
