Screensharing is a useful feature that allows you and your participants to share application windows or your/their desktop. This article illustrates how to share a screen on a Mac computer.

While mobile devices can view shared screens, they cannot share their own screens.

NOTE: Screensharing is limited to visual elements only. While you can play videos in a shared screen, the audio of that video may not be shared, depending on your mic. You may want to schedule a technical support session to test this before trying it with any clients.

Answer

1. Click on Call along the top of your screen. (If you don't see "VSee", click on the VSee icon on your dock, and then the menu should appear.)

  • If you select Share Window, it will show you all of your open applications available for sharing. (You cannot share minimized windows, and minimizing a shared window will automatically unshare it.)
  • If you select Share Desktop, it will allow you to select a section of your desktop that you would like to share with your participants. (Note: your participants will be able to see anything dragged through the allotted section until you unshare your desktop. Use this option with care!)

2. An orange border will appear around the application window that you're sharing, indicating what your participants can now see. The other parties will be able to move, resize, or minimize the share window just like any other window on their computer. (Their actions will not affect your computer.)

Additionally, a set of tools will appear as a popup, as seen to the left in this example:
